Mission:

Who We Are

The Water Walkers Boys and Girls Club is an outreach center situated at No. 24 Albert Street, Belize City. Established in 2012, the Club serves over 400 children in the immediate community feeding over 100 people daily, including teens, single mothers, children, the homeless and school dropouts. In addition, the Club provides an after-school program for homework, improving reading skills and the arts; weekly youth meetings, a preschool, recreational sports, family, drugs and abuse counseling, support to women fellowship groups, community outreach programs and small business entrepreneurship business launch programs.

Julie Miguel

Julie is the Founder and Executive Director of Water Walkers. As she was running her own business downtown Belize City she saw the need for a safe place for the multiple youth on the streets. Instead of turning a blind eye to the needs she decided to open the first ever community center in Belize City in 2012. She has since launched a feeding program, small business opportunities, camps and so much more.

Julie has a passion “To restore hope and provide opportunities for people to become SUCCESSFUL.”
